The Applied Climate Information System that links all the Regional Climate Centers together makes detailed, up-to-date monitoring possible. The High Plains Regional Climate Center uses ACIS data to produce a variety of maps showing precipitation, temperature, departures from normal for precipitation and temperature, the Standardized Precipitation Index, and other related information. Maps are available for the continental U.S., for each of the states in the High Plains region, and for each of the climate center regions of the country.
