Weather data from stations around the globe are used to calculate the current Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI) for each station.
How to
How to use this site:
- Select a layer from the menu on the right of the interactive map
- Choose from GPCC 1-month, 2-month, 3-month, 6-month, 9-month, 12-month, 24-month, 36-month, 48-month, 60-month, and 72-month SPI
- To save image, click the printer icon in the top right of the map. Select a format (PDF, JPG, etc.) and click "Print."
