Mean temperatures from March through April were at least 2°F below average for over 55% of the 215 long-term (i.e., period of record equaling or exceeding 50 years) stations across the region. A total of 52 long-term stations observed March–April mean temperatures that were ranked within their five coldest values on record.

The ACF DEWS Strategic Plan (Plan) outlines priority tasks and activities across the region to build drought early warning capacity and resilience. It includes a list of current partners, outcomes, and key milestones. This Plan is a “living document” to which additional actions and partners may be added as needed.

It is U.S. Army Corps of Engineers policy that water control plans be continually reviewed, updated, and adjusted as needed to ensure that the best use is made of available water resources. This March 2017 revision to the basin master water control manual describes the systemwide water control plan for the Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint (ACF) River Basin. This manual provides a general reference source for ACF water control regulation. It is intended for use in day-to-day, real-time water management decision-making and for training new personnel.
