The Annual Alabama Water Resources Conference is a forum for all participants of the water resources community, providing opportunities for conversation about the many multidisciplinary aspects of water resources, and making connections that will improve understanding of the complex water issues important to the state, the region, and the nation. It is the premier water conference in Alabama, established in 1986, and has provided a forum for showcasing emerging research, education and outreach in all aspects of water resources. The conference includes oral and poster sessions, plenary sessions, and networking opportunities.

The 2017 conference will be held Thursday and Friday, Sept. 7-8, 2017, at the Perdido Beach Resort Hotel and Convention Center in Orange Beach, Alabama.

Immediately preceding on Wednesday, Sept. 6, the Alabama Section of AWRA will host a Water Resources Symposium. These meetings will provide an excellent forum for updates on the status and issues regarding the many multi-disciplinary aspects of current and future water use,water resources research, management, and conservation issues.
