Event Date & Time

Monday, October 30, 2017 (All day) to Tuesday, October 31, 2017 (All day)
Mountain Time
Colorado Basin River Forecast Center, Salt Lake City, UT

Theme: Decision Makers in Action: Application of CBRFC products and services

(1) To update stakeholders on recent updates and advancements at the CBRFC, particularly pertaining to model and forecast development and product delivery

(2) To highlight current applications of CBRFC’s data, products, and services across a wide variety of stakeholders over the CBRFC’s area of responsibility, while also discovering opportunities for the CBRFC to improve decision support services for its stakeholders

(3) To facilitate discussion and collaboration between stakeholders who may be able to apply methodologies presented at the meeting to their own operations

CBRFC’s annual stakeholder forum is important for assessing stakeholder needs and determining priorities for the CBRFC. For the first time, this year’s forum will be driven primarily by stakeholders presenting how they currently utilize CBRFC products and services in their decision making process, and opportunities for the CBRFC to improve that support. Reports from past forums have helped to determine CBRFC projects as well as other activities in the NWS and NOAA.

Additionally, the CBRFC will update stakeholders on recent advancements to the CBRFC’s forecasting methodology and planned improvements to products and services.

There will be an optional day on Oct. 30 for those new to the CBRFC or interested in a refresher of CBRFC methods.
