Kansas Tribes Meet on Extreme Events, Drought Resiliency


More than 35 representatives of northeastern Kansas tribes together with federal, regional and academic groups met in Kansas City in November 2014 to better understand drought and climate impacts on tribalA view of grassy plains and a lone tree under a blue sky. lands; build partnerships to facilitate water management,drought early warning, and responses to extreme events; identify resources and points of contact for planning, natural resources, and environmental offices; and engage and leverage tribal colleges and universities.
