Quarterly Climate Impacts and Outlook for the Southeast Region - June 2024
Quarterly Climate Impacts and Outlook for the Southeast and Caribbean Region for March–May 2024. Dated June 2024. (Updated July 2024 to add Spanish translation of Caribbean information.)
Temperatures were above average across the Southeast, particularly in parts of Virginia and along the East Coast, where some locations were more than 4°F above average for the season. Temperatures were above average across Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Precipitation was above average across much of the Southeast, particularly across southern portions of Alabama and Georgia, and north Florida, where seasonal totals were more than 10 inches above average in places. Precipitation was also above average across the Caribbean, with some locations recording more than double their expected amounts.
