Winter was 1.3°F below normal for the Northeast, in the middle third of all years. It was the region's first colder-than-normal winter since 2018. Winter precipitation in the Northeast was 89% of normal, in the middle third of all years. It was among the 20 driest winters for three states.

Average temperatures for the 2024 fall season were 2-4 °F above normal for most of the Mid-Atlantic region. Eastern portions of the region received only 25%–50% of normal precipitation. Only portions of southern and western Virginia and southeastern West Virginia saw above-normal precipitation.

The Northeast had its second-warmest autumn at 2.5°F above normal. It was record warm in Maine and among the 10 warmest for the other 11 states. The Northeast had its sixth-driest autumn with 57% of normal. It was record dry for four states and among the nine driest for seven other states.

Average temperatures for the 2024 summer season were either 0–2°F or 2–4°F above normal across the Mid-Atlantic region. Precipitation amounts varied both across the region and over the course of the summer season. Some locations saw as little as 50%–75% of normal rainfall while others experienced over 150% of normal precipitation.

The Northeast had its fourth-hottest summer at 1.8°F above normal. It was record hot for two states and among the 12 hottest for the other 10 Northeast states. The Northeast's summer precipitation was 102% of normal, in the middle third of all years.

Average temperatures for the 2024 spring season were 2–4°F above normal for the majority of the region. Precipitation amounts varied across the region this spring, with some locations, particularly western Pennsylvania, experiencing greater than 150% of normal precipitation and a few areas receiving between 50% and 75% of normal spring precipitation.

The Northeast had its fourth-warmest spring at 3.7°F above normal. It was among the seven warmest springs for all 12 Northeast states. The Northeast had its 11th-wettest spring with 120% of normal precipitation. It was among the 20 wettest springs for eight of the 12 Northeast states.
