Parts of southern Texas are experiencing Exceptional Drought (D4). This webinar focused on agricultural producers in southern Texas and provided information about current conditions and look at expected conditions for the weeks and months ahead.

South Texas Drought Status and Outlook

  • Southern Texas has been in Exceptional Drought (D4) since October.
  • Winter rainfall was strongly influenced by a strong La Niña pattern, which was manifest by very low precipitation.
