The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Creating Resilient Water Utilities (CRWU) initiative and EPA Region 5 are partnering with Delta Institute to host a free in-person training for drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater utilities in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin. This training will cover topics such as regional climate trends and projections, the use of CRWU tools to build a climate risk assessment, the identification of adaptation strategies to mitigate climate threats, a utility case study from Milwaukee Water Works, water equity and environmental justice, and utility infrastructure financing. Continuing education units will be available for water utility operators in these four states.

The training will be held at the DuPage Water Commission in Elmhurst, IL on August 14, 2024, from 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. CT). For more information, contact Audrey Ramming (ramming.audrey@epa.gov).
