National Weather Service (NWS) Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service (AHPS) provides current and archived precipitation analysis at different timescales. Precipitation products include Observed Precipitation, Normal Precipitation, and Derived Precipitation Products.
These pages graphically show the short-term observed and climatic trends of precipitation across the lower 48 United States (CONUS), Puerto Rico and Alaska.
How to
How to use this site:
- View current or past precipitation maps by editing the tools in the “Timeframe” menu
- To save image select “Generate Image” (this will open a new window which will contain the savable image)
- Select the “Download” Tab just above the map to download data in shapefile, netCDF or image formats
- Just select data of choice and select “Download” to initiate
