Northwest near to slightly wetter than normal; Southwest much drier than normal. Arizona and New Mexico observed warmest autumn on record; Colorado and California among top-10 warmest. Arizona reported 3rd driest autumn on record. US Drought Monitor shows improvement of drought conditions in western Montana, Idaho, Washington, and Oregon and degradation of conditions in Arizona, New Mexico, southern Utah, and southwestern Colorado.
