Provide Feedback on the New Drought Information Statements
Beginning September 1, 2023, National Weather Service Weather Forecast Offices and Weather Service Offices will issue a modernized version of the Drought Information Statement, through Drought Information Statement web pages and in PDF format, as a replacement for the existing text-based format. The new PDF Drought Information Statement is based on a standardized template designed to reduce the burden for forecasters, incorporate graphics, and enable collaboration amongst neighboring offices. The content and issuance criteria will not change.
