Drought in the Midwest Webinars: Conditions, Outlooks, and Resources
The Drought in the Midwest Webinar is a bi-monthly webinar series designed to provide stakeholders and other interested parties in the Midwest with timely and relevant drought information and resources.
Information presented will include current and developing drought conditions, associated impacts across sectors and industries (e.g., agriculture, ecosystems, navigation, water supply, public health), and outlook information for the coming months and seasons. The webinar will also showcase new and innovative drought research and resources, success stories for managing drought, and other topics relevant to the Midwest region.
This webinar series will serve as a platform to share knowledge, foster collaboration, and support informed decision-making across the Midwest. The series will be hosted by NOAA’s NIDIS Midwest Drought Early Warning System (DEWS) in partnership with NOAA's National Weather Service (NWS), NWS Climate Prediction Center, Midwestern Regional Climate Center, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Mid-Continent Region.
The webinars will take place the first Thursday every other month (even months) from 2-3 p.m. CT.
