North Central Region Climate Summary and Outlook Webinars

Project Status
Ongoing

Since 2011, the North Central U.S. Climate and Drought Outlook has provided monthly climate and drought briefings to stakeholders who live, work, or have interests in the North Central U.S. These webinars summarize past and current weather, climate, drought, and hydrologic conditions, potential and ongoing impacts across sectors, and outlook information for the upcoming weeks, months, and seasons.

In 2021, NDMC partnered with the webinar organizers to evaluate the reach and impact of the webinar series, using registration data, a survey of participants, and two case studies. Read the report.

The webinar is currently hosted by the National Drought Mitigation Center, the U.S. Department of Agriculture Midwest Climate Hub, Midwestern and High Plains Regional Climate Centers, and the American Association of State Climatologists.
