Southern Plains Drought Assessment (2020-2023)

Project Timeline
October 2023 - September 2024
Project Status
Ongoing

The goal of this effort is to help build resilience to drought through an assessment of the 2020–2023+ Southern Plains drought. It is anticipated that, by carefully documenting and quantifying the impacts (and the economic costs of those impacts) and responses to the recent drought conditions, this assessment can be used to inform best practices and build resilience to future droughts in the region.
