Quarterly Climate Impacts and Outlook for the Southeast and Caribbean Region for June–August 2024. Dated September 2024. (Updated October 2024 to add Spanish translation of Caribbean information.)
Temperatures were above average across most of the Southeast, particularly in parts of Virginia, Florida, and southern Georgia, where some locations were more than 3°F above average for the season. Precipitation was variable this summer. The wettest locations extended from South Florida to eastern Virginia, where seasonal totals were 5 to 10 inches above average, with parts of southwest Florida more than 15 inches above average.
