Document Description

Quarterly Climate Impacts and Outlook for the Southeast and Caribbean Region for June–August 2025. Dated September 2025.

Temperatures were near average across much of the interior of the Southeast, with some parts of Alabama, Georgia, and the Carolinas running up to 2°F below average for the season. In contrast, temperatures were above average across the northern and southern ends of the region. Precipitation was above average across most of the region, particularly across Gerogia, the Carolinas, and Virginia and below average across eastern portions of Georgia and Virginia, and much of Alabama and Florida.

NOAA’s Regional Climate Services Program created these climate outlooks to inform the public about recent climate impacts within their respective regions. Each regional report contains easy-to-understand language, and anyone can access them through the Drought Portal.
