Power plant locations were ingested from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA). Only power plants that require water through generation, extraction, refining, and/or transportation were included in this layer.

U.S. Drought Monitor (USDM) data from the National Drought Mitigation Center were available in a GIS format. Access USDM GIS data.
