Temperatures were much above average across the Southeast, particularly in Alabama and Virginia, as well as parts of the Carolinas and north Florida, where many locations were 4 to 6 degrees F above average for the season. Precipitation was variable across the Southeast this winter.

Temperatures were above average across most of the Southeast this summer. The greatest departures (2–4 degrees F) were found across the southern tier of the region. Precipitation was highly variable across the Southeast this summer.

Above-average temperatures were recorded over the entire Southeast, with much of Florida and eastern North Carolina observing more than 2°F above normal. Precipitation ranged from below average in the eastern Carolinas, southern Florida, and Puerto Rico, to above average in northern Florida, including the Florida Panhandle and Alabama.
