Quarterly Climate Impacts and Outlook for the Chesapeake Bay Region for March – May 2019. Dated June 2019.

Spring temperature was above average for most of the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Spring precipitation was up to double historical averages in the northern Chesapeake Bay.

NOAA’s Mid-Atlantic RISA Team (MARISA) created this outlook in partnership with NOAA’s Regional Climate Services Program to inform the public about recent climate impacts within their respective regions. Each regional report contains easy-to-understand language, and anyone can access them through the Drought Portal.
