Soil Moisture Virtual Seminar Series: Installing Sensors in Forest Soils

This virtual seminar will introduce the basics of soil moisture sensor sensor installation in forest soils. Topics covered will include: soil moisture sensor selection, tips to install sensors in organic soils, protecting cables from wildlife threats, vandalism concerns in remote areas, frequency of data collection, and more.

The presentation will be followed by time for Q&A.

This event is part of a virtual soil moisture seminar series co-hosted by the National Coordinated Soil Moisture Monitoring Network (NCSMMN) in partnership with NOAA's National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS), USDA's Agricultural Research Service (ARS), and USDA's Forest Service.
