Be a part of a national convening of drought, health, and climate resilience leaders. The Drought and Health National Workshop will bring together researchers, public health practitioners, scientists, and emergency preparedness professionals to accelerate the integration of science, policy, and practice at the intersection of drought and health.

This two-day workshop is taking place in St. Paul, Minnesota from September 30–October 1, 2025 and is hosted by the University of Nebraska Medical Center in partnership with NIDIS, NASA, and the Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute.

Through a mix of keynote talks, collaborative sessions, and hands-on activities, participants will:

  • Explore the latest science on drought and its health impacts
  • Share practical tools, strategies, and case studies
  • Identify gaps and co-develop solutions for real-world challenges
  • Build cross-sector partnerships to drive systems-level change
  • Present your research and build your professional network through an engaging poster session

Do you have innovative research, programs, tools, or case studies that address the intersection of drought and health to share? The call for poster abstracts is open until August 15, 2025. Submit your abstract through the registration form.
